CITROEN H VAN
SENIOR THESIS / INDEPENDENT STUDY(2006)

A vehicle is no more than a complex product. My senior thesis was centered around a reinterpretation of Citroen’s classic
H Van, a ruthlessly simple vehicle that was used by everyone for everything. By varying simple elements such as the
wheelbase and sheet metal, the little H Van was infinitely useful. Instead of a superficial ‘retro’ treatment I instead focused on
modularity, different market applicability, environmental issues and simple yet functional ideas such as the removable headlights.
The resulting project was built as a 1/5 scale model, featured at CCS’ display area during the 2006 North American
Internatonal Auto Show and was published in the July 2006 issue of Car Styling.
