Australian born and globally raised, I had no choice but to do what I do. My family is comprised of industrial designers, writers,
fashion designers, jewellers, architects, filmmakers and artists so it was without much ado that I myself entered the design field;
the decision was made over an espresso in our kitchen and by the suggestion of my brother (his second piece of advice was "don't be an
architect"). I enrolled at Detroit's College for Creative studies in 2002 and received a BFA in Industrial Design in 2006. After a successful
internship with Motorola in 2005, I accepted a full-time position with them in their Chicago studio in 2006 where I remained until early 2009.
I began at MINIMAL, Inc in early 2010 where I worked on experience and storytelling for previsualization using video and new media as
well as designing products and creating future vision proposals for XBox, Microsoft, Dell, Nike, Coalesse, Artemide and many more.
Recently, in September 2011, I have embarked whole heartedly on an interdisciplinary, international and crucially independent phase of my career.

Throughout school and leading into professional experience, I developed an interest in what truly good design could be; there is more to it than simply
styling an object and later figuring out how it would be made, what it would be made of and who would make it...shooting first and asking questions later seems
to be the lazy and commonplace way to be a designer.

While at Motorola I spent as much time and effort as possible becoming a point man for all things eco...not for it's superficially
misunderstood definition but rather because I felt and still feel that this holds the key to the way forward.
Our future will be defined by how we deal with social, health, and environmental issues, and each of these things provides a limitless
potential for good design. While we are living in the shadow of the industrial revolution, it's now time to define what the industrial
evolution will be; providing a better quality of life for more than just a privileged few.
